Terms of service
The simple rules for being here.
1. What OFFSCRIPT is
OFFSCRIPT is a community where people talk about work under pseudonyms. It is a place for candid conversation, not a news source, a legal record or professional advice. Anything you read here is the view of its anonymous author, not of OFFSCRIPT.
2. Your account
You need an account to post, react and vote; reading is open to everyone. Keep your login details to yourself and don't create accounts to evade moderation. You're responsible for what's posted from your account.
3. What you may post
By posting you agree to our community principles, which are part of these terms. In short: describe situations, not people; keep private things private; don't share confidential material; be kind, even when it's hard. Don't post illegal content, spam, malware, or content that impersonates someone else.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep the rights to what you write. By posting you give OFFSCRIPT permission to display, store and distribute it within the service, and to adapt it as needed to run the app (for example, showing it in feeds or removing it for violations). You can delete your posts at any time.
5. Moderation
We moderate reported content and can remove posts or comments that break the rules. Serious or repeated violations can lead to loss of posting access. If your content is removed and you think that's a mistake, report the item in the app and explain what happened — moderation reviews every report.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that content is accurate, that the service will always be available, or that moderation will catch everything. Opinions expressed by members are their own.
7. Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFFSCRIPT isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use OFFSCRIPT after a change means you accept it. Last updated in October 2026.
